A COLLECTION returns for its fifth edition in an exceptional setting: a private mansion at 5 rue Louis Boilly, 75016. 8 artists. 8 pieces. 8 solo show. Open from May 27 to June 3 by appointment
UNE COLLECTION, created by curators Camille Frasca and Antoine Py, aims to shift curatorial lines by rethinking the relationships between the main actors of the contemporary art world. Invited by the Atelier du Sensible, UNE COLLECTION #5 leaves its twelfth arrondissement and takes over a private mansion in the 16th arrondissement of Paris
Refusing the thematic approach and the search for forced aesthetic or conceptual links, this exhibition proposes to discover artists and their work in intimate spaces. The first two editions of UNE COLLECTION took place in the two curators’ apartment-home in the Parisian district of Picpus.
From this COLLECTION, whose name is deliberately provocative, written in capital letters in order to bring out all the meanings lent to this great word, is born a mutual enrichment between emerging artists and more established artists, fertile ground for meetings placed under the aegis of a renewal of the cultural moment.
A COLLECTION which does not show a private approach but which starts from the very idea of collecting, of gathering works, and of presenting them together, at a moment T, in a conviviality often absent from institutional or private white cube spaces.
