All about water – Booklet
“Tout autour de l’eau” is a text written by Benoît Barbagli to accompany his monographic exhibition at Galerie Eva Vautier. The text serves both as a narrative for the exhibition and as an ecological manifesto. It focuses in particular on the role of the artist in the face of current environmental challenges, and highlights the notion of joy as a political act of resistance. In so doing, the text positions itself as a manifesto that emanates directly from Barbagli’s art and artistic practice. It establishes a thematic continuity with “Azimut”, an earlier text by the artist, written three years earlier for another exhibition at the same gallery, this time with the Palam collective.
